How UHP is Growing its Program for Veterans Fifteen-Fold with BridgeAthletic

UHP currently hosts 40 to 60 students on campus per month and estimates it can grow to 1,000 students per month by 2030 thanks in large part to the ease of scalability provided by BridgeAthletic. In less than three months, UHP has been able to supplement its in-person courses with pre- and post-course educational touch points that better prepare students leading up to their time on campus and help them stay connected with UHP instructors and alumni afterwards.

Empowering veterans to thrive in their new mission

Founded by Army veteran Matt Hesse, University of Health & Performance (UHP) equips veterans with the tools to thrive after service through tuition-free education in health, fitness, and entrepreneurship. Based on an 800-acre campus in Bentonville, Arkansas, UHP’s immersive 19-day residential programs combine classroom instruction, physical training, and real-world business guidance inside a 17,000 sq. ft. performance facility.

When VP of Performance Hunter Schurrer and his team relied on spreadsheets to build and update training plans, the manual process limited time for coaching and connection. After partnering with BridgeAthletic, UHP transformed its workflow in just three months. Coaches can now create personalized programs in minutes, engage with students before and after training, and scale individualized instruction across 60+ veterans per cohort—empowering more service members to build strength, confidence, and purpose in civilian life.
