Kelly is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and is the co-author of the New York Times bestsellers Becoming a Supple Leopard and Ready to Run. Kelly was also the co-founder of San Francisco CrossFit, the 21st CrossFit affiliate. Kelly consults with athletes and coaches from the NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB, the US Olympic Team and CrossFit. He works with the US Armed Forces and consults with corporations on employee health and well-being. Dr. Starrett’s work is not limited to coaches and athletes; his methods apply equally well to children, desk jockeys, and anyone dealing with chronic pain. He believes that every human being should know how to move and be able to perform basic maintenance on themselves.
Ryan is the former Director of Tactical and Elite Sport at BridgeAthletic. During his time with Bridge, he worked with military units, professional teams, and collegiate athletic departments to incorporate technology into their strength and conditioning workflows. Ryan is currently working for the U.S. Army Special Operations Command as a Human Performance program manager. He attended Marquette University for his BS in Exercise Science, and earned a MS in Biomechanics from the University of Tennessee where he was a strength coach with the football, baseball, and swimming teams. In his free time he enjoys working out, playing ice hockey, and spending time with his family.
